Miami, FL 3.12.18 – Patrick Staropoli and Jim McCoy Motorsports worked hard in the offseason to build on their momentum from 2017, and it paid off in their first outing of 2018 — with the #64 taking the checkered flag Saturday night at Citrus County Speedway! It was a dominant night with the team scoring the fastest lap in practice, qualifying 2nd, turning the fastest lap of the race, and leading the most laps en route to victory.
The #64 started 5th after the invert, and made it to the lead by lap 20. Six cautions slowed the event but Staropoli was able to fend off several charges on the late race restarts to take the win. Since McCoy and Staropoli teamed up, they have scored 5 Top-5 finishes in 6 races while Staropoli simultaneously juggles his first year of medical residency.
