Houston, TX, 8.19.24 – The Driving to Fight Blindness campaign made its super late model debut this past Saturday night at Auburndale Speedway with Patrick Staropoli scoring back-to-back top-5 finishes!
The Jim McCoy #64 Chevrolet was fast in practice, completing both sessions in the 2nd and 3rd position, respectively. The team qualified in 9th but wasted no time carving their way to the front of the field in the first 50 lap feature, finishing in the 4th position! The second 50 lap feature saw Staropoli start 4th and work his way up the lead early in the event, leading several laps, and settling for a strong 2nd place finish to the eventual winner who was on an alternate tire strategy.
