Staropoli Awarded Heed Fellowship, Pursues Vitreoretinal Surgery

Miami, FL (05.1.21) – While continuing to juggle a busy residency schedule along with competing for Jim McCoy Racing in Florida Super Late Model action, Patrick Staropoli was recently honored to receive the Heed Fellowship. This prestigious honor is granted to outstanding ophthalmology residents who demonstrate promise in the pursuit of an academic medical career in patient care, education, and research. Starting July 1st, Staropoli will finish residency and shift his focus to vitreoretinal surgery, beginning a two year fellowship program at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute – ranked the #1 eye hospital in the US for 19 consecutive years.
