Auburndale, FL – Patrick Staropoli and the Star Racing team ventured to Auburndale Speedway for the Sunoco 100 on October 23rd. After qualifying 8th, Staropoli started on the pole after a lucky fan selected the #1 position for the 97 Chevy in the pre-race redraw.

Staropoli led the first 23 laps before being passed for the lead, and contact while battling for 3rd place relegated him to the rear of the field on lap 32. The #97 came to the pits under caution for some key adjustments and Staropoli was then able to storm back through the field for a strong 5th place finish.

The next race for the Star Racing team will be November 5th at Showtime Speedway.
