Miami 1.26.18 – Patrick Staropoli and the Star Racing Team kicked off 2018 with a solid 6th place run at Showtime Speedway in the Winter Showdown. Staropoli qualified 4th in the 22-car field and ran in the top-3 for much of the race before being spun out as a tightening battle for the top spot caused the leaders to stack up. Staropoli restarted dead last in his #97 Chevrolet and cut his way through the field for a strong rebound to a 6th place finish.
Patrick will continue to campaign in his #97 car and will also return to the #64 Jim McCoy Motorsports late model for an exciting 2018 season, all while completing his first full-time year as a resident physician.
