Miami, FL (05.17.17) – After 5 years of studying, exams, rounds, and boards – including a one-year adventure that saw him capture victory in NASCAR competition – Patrick Staropoli can now officially add M.D. to the end of his name. The Harvard and now University of Miami Medical School graduate received his diploma on May 10th and now looks ahead to beginning residency. Patrick will spend his internship year at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center and then move to Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami – ranked the #1 Eye Hospital in the Country for 16 consecutive years – to complete his training to become an ophthalmologist. Coming fresh off a victory at Showtime Speedway on April 1st, Staropoli even sported a neon yellow #97 on his graduation cap!
